SPACEBEL provides Earth observation solutions, based upon the PROBA micro-satellite technology, encompassing the mission definition and analysis, the development of EO-based data interoperable infrastructures, and the study of complete micro-satellite systems.
Earth Observation Missions
SPACEBEL has experience in micro-satellites systems since the late 90’s when the PROBA program was approved by ESA, in partnership with the Belgian Science Policy and QinetiQ Space n.v. PROBA satellites’ missions are dedicated to flying innovative technologies, featuring compact design, on-board autonomy, formation flying techniques, miniaturized vegetation sensors, or optical fibers for instance.
SPACEBEL supports the commercialization of Earth observations missions based on the PROBA platform and provides the following services:

Earth Observation Applications
When it comes to Earth observation data access and downstream services to end users, our research and development work and longstanding experience in ground segment interoperability, interface standardization, service-oriented architectures and Web services enable us to provide advanced services provisioning infrastructures and spatial data infrastructures. We developed and are supporting numerous software systems featuring up-to-date technologies*, aimed at serving the development of the Space Systems and Services components of the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security, GMES European programme.
To assist our customers willing to develop sets of services based on Earth observation data, we have solutions integrating the highest quality standards and communication protocols, available for :
