This “Tech for Development” workshop organised by Agoria in close cooperation with Close the Gap, is a hands-on, free workshop (in English) developed to the needs of NGOs and non-profits active in Development Cooperation.
NGOs and other actors in development cooperation will discover the remote sensing universe and its possible applications in the field. They will also get an overview of the tools and key stakeholders that can help implement remote sensing related projects.
SPACEBEL will be one of the speakers with the following presentation :
“An overview of SPACEBEL’s EO Satellite Solutions to Sustain Development Cooperation”
Covering several topics:
- Agriculture : NADiRA project in West Africa
- Forests : EO Regions!
- Climate and Health: Monitoring of vector-borne diseases (by mosquitoes, tsetse flies, sand-flies, snails for malaria, trypanosomiases, leishmaniases, schistosomiases)
- Water Management: Follow-up of the assessment of populations affected by floods
- Pest Management: Locust monitoring
